This is Mr. Norbet, He is my first client for this venture and here are the results.
I directed Norbert to to bring four looks to the shoot, the first is a casual look, we always go with a casual look first because this how we warm up. My relationship with Norbert is brand new we’ve yet had the opportunity to build rapport. This process can also be very intimidating to someone who hasn’t had a camera point at their face for an extended period of time.
Once we got into the swing of things I directed Norbert to switch outfits. Norbert is an amateur boxer so we wanted to bring that into the shoot, however it can be challenging getting a shot with a boxer where it doesn’t look like he’s trying to kill you! You don’t want to look aggressive in your dating profile but I feel like the picture we got doesn’t make him look mean, it just shows him doing what makes him happy
As the shoot progressed Norbert started to display more of his character, he used his surroundings without direction, this photos show that Norbert is a fun person to be around.
The key to a good profile, is to smile, to show your eyes are clearly smiling, to show personality through your photos, and to show that you’re a fun person to be around. I feel like we achieved these goals with my shoot with Norbert.
